Workers must often perform construction and maintenance work on infrastructure at heights. A boom-lift is infinitely safer and more convenient than a ladder. Still, a large part of that safety depends on the skills and knowledge of the boom-lift operator. HRTA provides structured boom-lift training in Sydney, emphasising comprehensive knowledge to manage most situations safely.
These boom-type elevating work platforms include a telescoping mechanism, hinged or articulated device, or any combination to support a platform. The purpose of the scaffold is to raise personnel, equipment, and materials.
To enrol in our boom-lift courses, participants must:
The objective outcome of the boom-lift over 11m training course is to receive the nationally recognised Statement of Attainment for TLILIC0005 – Licence to Operate a Boom-Type Elevating Work Platform (EWP) >11m. An accredited SafeWork NSW assessor will issue a High-Risk Work Licence valid for five years.
We conduct the course at our purpose-built training facility in Ingleburn. Participants receive theoretical instruction from qualified trainers and assessors and have access to various boom-lift equipment types for the practical component of the course. We strive to provide as many real-world scenarios as possible in our controlled boom-lift training simulations, allowing participants to put theory into practice.
The course lasts three days and consists of two training days and one assessment day.
